At Atlas Pizza the health of our employees and customers is important to us. We have created this document to clarify the actions that Atlas Pizza will take in order to ensure the well being of everyone in our place of business and community. This document can be found at Atlas Pizza and on our website and will be updated as needed. Signage

Atlas Pizza will affix signage on proper hand hygiene and physical distancing throughout the facility and outdoor spaces and entry points. These include:

Open for business sign, Physical distancing signs, Staff and customer screening signs, Handwashing signs, floor dots and arrows, and max capacity signs.

Distancing

Atlas pizza will ensure the physical distancing of 2 meters at all times by both our clients and staff inside our business using the following measures:

Physical distancing signage and floor dots measured out at least 2 meters. Capacity and prevention signs
Patrons will be asked to remain seated while dining. 1 patron up from the table at a time for toilet breaks etc. Physical greetings discouraged.

Patrons will wait to be seated and controlled at the door by door staff, dots, and barriers.

Break area will be 1-2 people max at a time. No communal spaces offered at this time.

Directional arrows for flow of traffic.

Extra space between tables to allow for walkways and safe service. Physical barriers to designate walkways. Plexiglass dividers to heighten between booths. Plexi shield for cashiers and physical barrier to ensure the proper distance.

Staff must wear masks and will be expected to maintain 2 meters distance from other staff and patrons as much as possible.
Limit on number of people in bathrooms at 1 time.

Doorman hostess to ensure capacity, seating, and maintain lineups and distancing.

Curbside pickup and delivery encouraged. Reminder signage inside and outside of the building.

Cleaning

Atlas Pizza has developed cleaning protocols to ensure that all common areas are cleaned and disinfected a minimum of twice daily, or more often as required (ie. Soiled). Health and safety is a responsibility that belongs to everyone in the workplace.

These measures include:

High touch areas to be cleaned more frequently according to schedule or after each use where possible.

Tables and chairs sanitized when customer leaves before allowing another guest to be seated.

Soap, Quat sanitizer, and Oxiver disinfectant for cleaning as well as hand sanitizers and wipes for smaller maintenance items available. Staff has been instructed on proper sanitation guidelines according to AHS standards.

Debit machines wiped after each use with wipes or disinfectant. Staff encouraged to use same terminal and to sanitize frequently
High touch items like condiments transitioned to single use. Where not feasible the item will be set aside in a marked sanitizing area to be sanitized before further use and to avoid cross contamination.

Extra Hand sanitizing stations located throughout the building and in dining areas/patron tables
Bussing preferred when the diner has finished to enable better safety measures. If service permits, dedicated busser equipped with PPE.

Bathrooms sanitized on a rotating schedule using approved sanitizer and disinfectant.

High touch areas and surfaces frequently wiped and disinfected as part of regular duties for all staff members.

End of service deep cleaning by all staff and by contracted cleaners.

Employees have been trained on proper usage of cleaning equipment and have access to PPE for added safety.

Screening for Symptoms

Atlas Pizza will ensure all employees are informed of the best practices to encourage proper hygiene etiquette. Additionally, the necessary products and equipment will be available to you in the workplace to follow these best practices. Health and safety is a responsibility that belongs to everyone in a workplace and we encourage everyone to review the available documents on the Alberta.ca website under the workplace guidance section. Measures include:
 
Signage posted at entrances using the AHS screening form as guideline.
 
Each patron and staff will be asked and have to acknowledge they have read and agree. Staff additionally will be temperature checked.

Patrons or staff visibly exhibiting symptoms or answering yes to any of the questions will not be permitted onsite.
 
Patrons will have to provide a name and phone number or email per party for contact tracing. Attendance log for staff will be kept. Customer logs will be kept for 30 days and destroyed for privacy.
 
Patrons and staff will be asked to sanitize their hands upon entering and exiting the premises.
 
Staff has been trained in questions and symptoms. Staff required to remain home, online screen and isolate if exhibiting any symptoms.
 
If someone becomes symptomatic, they will be given an N95 mask and will be directed to an isolation area located outside and we will contact their emergency contact. This will be performed by a staff member donning an N95 mask and face shield. All areas closed off and sanitized/disinfected immediately.
 
Safety leaders and managers as per OHS plans will ensure compliance.

VLT’s and Entertainment

Atlas Pizza will ensure that no entertainment forms like VLT’s and pool are not operated until allowed.
 
Added measures will include distancing of machines and/or plexiglass barriers between machines. A floorplan will be coordinated with AGLC as required or allowed for approval.
 
Frequent sanitization of machines and wipes available for patrons to use.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Atlas Pizza will ensure all employees are informed of the best practices to encourage proper hygiene etiquette. Additionally, the necessary products and equipment will be available to you in the workplace to follow these best practices. Measures include:
 
All staff will have access to masks, face shields, N95 masks, disposable gloves.
 
Plexiglass barriers have been installed. Cashiers will have a plexiglass shield or physical barrier and all staff is required to wear a cloth or surgical mask while on duty.

Dish and bussers will have access to rubber aprons, gloves, N95 masks and face shields.

Must sanitize before donning and doffing PPE equipment and dispose of them properly in designated receptacle. 

Handwashing stations available for staff and patrons. (10 total)

Hand sanitizing stations available with gloves available at regular intervals around the dining area at designated sanitizing station.

Responsibilities

Doorman, hostess, managers, safety leaders and shift leaders will be responsible for compliance and adherence to cleaning schedules and distancing measures.

Managers will be responsible for PPE procurement and cleaning supply inventories.

All staff is expected to follow wellness and hygiene procedures like:

Avoiding touching eyes, nose, mouth.

Covering mouth and nose and coughing or sneezing into tissues or elbows. Washing hands immediately after.

Hand sanitizing when coming in and leaving the workplace.

Respecting the 2 meter physical distancing measure with colleagues and clients.

Handshakes, hugs, and direct contact are not permitted.

Avoiding contact with people that are sick.

If unwell or symptomatic, using the self assessment tool on the Alberta.ca website and notifying a manager.
